There is something about nature... On a recent walk, I felt like an intergalactic being landing in this place called Earth. Everything seemed to jump out at me. I wasn't on anything aside from a good dose of gratitude for such a beautiful morning and enjoying a peaceful walk. My eyes, like macro lenses noticed every detail. All my senses were heightened. The wind seemed to be whispering things while the birds chirped back in agreement. Then there, inconspicuously in front of me,  I noticed dandelions all around  at various stages in their life processes. My philosophical and creative minds, charged with inspiration,...

  • Canada150

The city is abuzz with all the preps for this long awaited countdown. This year's Canada Day celebrations are particularly intense, hosting our Royal guests, His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall and celebrating Canada's 150th anniversary. The security presence is a prominent reminder to stay  vigilant amidst all the worldwide threats. Here's wishing everyone a very happy, memorable and safe Canada day! To say the least, a place where Made in Canada has some value and instills confidence in quality and workmanship. A place where you can create something and make...

  • The art of relocating

After 10 years at 463 Sussex Drive, we said goodbye on January 5th to this beloved location as a result of the major year long renovation project planned for our block in between Clarence and Murray. But for the love of labour, I was still sewing the last few stiches while packing up, knowing that my loyal machines would be resting in storage for a while. How long, is really not clear as the art of finding the right location is a mix of patience, persistence and trust. For now it's a welcome rest in off peak season in the...
